Heather
Golladay,
Children's
Ministry Assistant

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to
God." Philippians 4:6
Hey there! My name is Heather and I am the
Ministry Assistant. I answer the phone, take reservations, create
posters, booklets - all that behind the scenes stuff. I have been with
the Children's Ministry since December 1998 and everyday brings
something different. One day I will be working on posters or brochures
and the next I am a guinea pig for a new camp game or creating frames
and mats to display t-shirts. I love the diversity!
My favorite memory as a child is Christmas Morning.
My mom would make sticky buns (and when I got older, coffee) to eat
while we opened presents. My mother was adamant about saving the
stockings until later in the day to extend the festivities as long as
possible and I continue that tradition with my kids.
Education: I went to high school at
Langham Creek in Houston and graduated in 1992. I attended Texas A&M
University, graduating in 1997 with a Bachelors in Landscape
Architecture. I keep toying with the idea of returning to school to get
a Masters in Graphic Design.
Family: I met my husband Mike in
college and we were married 3 months later in 1997. I have three
children: a son and two daughters. We are very busy with
sports. Our calendar is a precisely choreographed dance so those days
without activities are cherished. On the weekends we like to go to the
movies, fish, visit the zoo, or go to the museum. I have two
sisters, both live in right here in College Station (YEA!). It is great
to have them so close.
Hobbies/Interests: I am the world's
biggest bookworm. I love to read. I also enjoy crafts: scrapbook,
crochet, sewing. Still, most of my free time is spent with a book,
either reading to myself or to my kids.
